Become a
Certified Test Administration Site

Make the connection: Join the world’s most advanced testing network

The opportunity begins with the TOEFL® iBT test

In September 2005 ETS began internet-based testing, starting

with the next generation TOEFL test (the TOEFL® iBT test). The new test

assesses all of four language skills important for effective

communication: Speaking, listening, reading and writing.

How to become a partner test site?

ETS invites you to become an ETS Certified Test Administration Site,

an exclusive certification for institutions that are trained to deliver

ETS Internet-based tests such as the TOEFL® iBT test.
To become an

ETS Certified Test Administration Site, you will need an existing

language lab, computer lab or other secure room with ideally at least

15 Internet-connected computers that can be reserved for ETS testing

purposes 15 to 30 times per year. We will compensate you and your staff

for managing your site’s testing.

Who becomes an ETS Certified Test Administration Site? Why?

Academic institutions, such as colleges, universities, and

businesses with large computer/language labs or libraries, apply for

partnership. Benefits of the partnership include:

• Attract new students
• Lead the way in internet-based testing
• Promote international education
• Provide a valuable service to your students
• Gain exclusive access to ETS products
• Provide access to students taking other ETS internet-based tests

How does an ETS Certified Test Administration Site benefit Test Takers and Academic Institutions?

The increasing number of ETS Certified Test Administration Sites

and facilities provide test takers with more opportunities and

locations for taking the TOEFL® iBT test. Because ETS Certified Test

Administration Site supports internet-based testing, it enables

institutions to assess a greater number of students more efficiently

than traditional test methods. ETS provides compensation to its ETS

Certified Test Administration Sites based on the computer work stations

provided for each test administration.
